Silvan is one of Europe's best loved and most accomplished jazz and boogie pianists. He started learning the piano in early childhood and was soon influenced by vintage recordings of the great Boogie pioneers. He has now performed in over 30 countries at such world-famous festivals as the Montreux Jazz Festival 2011, where he played at B.B. King's concert alongside Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin. He is as comfortable playing boogie-woogie, blues, swing or classic jazz, and delivers all with incredible virtuosity.
Silvan has also performed on stage with legends Chuck Berry, Katie Webster, Sammy Price, Memphis Slim, Champion Jack Dupree, Tito Jackson, Pinetop Perkins and many more. “Silvan plays as if he were from St. Louis – he could be my blues brother!” said Rock 'n' Roll legend Chuck Berry enthusiastically about this pianist.
Once a year he organises and performs at the International Boogie Woogie Festival, Lugano, Switzerland; this year the three day event that attracts hundreds of overseas' Blues and Boogie enthusiasts will be held in April. Read more about it at www.silvanzingg.com
Born in Detroit, Deanna spent her early years in Phoenix and New York City, climbing on any available piano bench to plunk and play with preternatural panache. Around the age of six, she was "gently removed" from the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music for playing piano by ear instead of learning to read music. Today, she is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist and multifaceted musician whose fusion of blusion -- spontaneous, sophisticated, fearless and fun -- has garnered her three consecutive Blues Music Awards' Horn Instrumentalist of the Year for 2008, 2009 and 2010 and has won her, at last count, more than 20 Wammies, the music awards for the hotly contested Washington, D.C. region.
Perennially popular with a knack for engaging her audience, Deanna easily wins hearts with her dazzling keyboards, soulful saxophone and smoky vocals. Jet-setting from festival to festival she still finds time to mentor students of all ages.
Deanna Bogart's latest ventures include Blind Pig Record's "Pianoland," a newly minted DVD called "Everybody Has A Story," and “11th Hour,” a CD released on Vista Records, a company she co-founded.
At age 7 Luca was introduced to classical piano and after two years, and having won 1st prize with advancement to the State Contest level he accidentally discovered Jazz, Blues and Boogie Woogie. He self-trained and studied his first pieces of this music style and presented them at various occasions with great success and by age 11 was publishing some of his pieces on the internet platform YouTube where they quickly achieved great popularity. With rising recognition, numerous performances at festivals, and concerts followed in his home country as well as abroad with big-name pianists of the genre such as Silvan Zingg, Vince Weber, Bob Seeley, Frank Muschalle and Ben Waters. From 2010 to 2012 Luca presented his own concert series under the name of “Blues im Schaf” in Karlsruhe.
Luca recorded his first CD album “Lost in Boogie” in August 2010 which was published in November of that year. One year later, he participated in the biggest Boogie Woogie Festival of the world in Laroquebrou, France.
Having worked at The Ritz for seven years, Sven-Hanson Britt embarked on a journey of self discovery on Master Chef: The Professionals in 2014, which cemented his love for food. With the shared values of precision, passion and uncompromising quality, he became Miele’s executive chef in 2015. Inspired by the work of Michel Bras, Andoni Aduriz of Mugaritz, Magnus Nilsson at Faviken and Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saison, he is also passionate about fresh local produce. This will be his third visit to cook for an event at L'Espace and his delicious, original and respectful dishes, often cooked outdoors on our fire-pits, are always a high note.
